Spotted at Sandymount, this woman defies gravity with the “Invisi-Lean”. A first for this blog.
Sent in from John in Dublin.
“Above is a rarely found ‘Holy Sellotape’ lean.
Through the ages there have been numerous examples of inanimate objects in
leaning poses but none to date have rivalled the divine Sellotape.”
“Go on, go on, go on, go on…..GO ON”
Great full head of hair, son!
One suspects a few G&T’s may have been imbibed prior to this lean !
Too scared to commit to proper lean and pretending not to see camera. Could do bettter!
Good move. Throw a quick diversionary lean before presenting customer with service invoice. Interestingly she appears to be not actually leaning on anything, but hands just floating!
Leaning in a Bar ! It’s the most natural place to lean.
Technically not a ‘forehead’ lean. More of a ‘crown of the head’ lean.
You can just hear him singing ‘always look on the bright side of life’ as he enjoys this lean.
First lean in from Thailand.
Interesting ‘knee bend’ action going on here….
Apparently this little girl has a ‘leaning’ practise session most mornings. Her parents have identified ‘leaning’ as a key future asset for her.
Can be difficult to do a steady solid lean on shiny wooden floors so well done Zoltan.
City park of Skopje, Macedonia
This just in from Macedonia. “Photo of my sister’s, 3 years old taken at the City park of Skopje, Macedonia. Shot is capturing his attempt to support the leaning sculpture by leaning the opposite way.” -Saso
You might not be allowed Park at this place but you can stop and enjoy a quick lean.
Great lean Louis! The first official Aviva Stadium lean.

Captured on the way to Aviva Stadium Dublin, Ireland V France 6 Nations game. Great colour and commitment Mr. Lunge Leaner but check the 9 principles of leaning above to see point about feet together.
“it is a truth universally acknowledged that a super hero in possession of a good lean must be in want of a wife”.
Note the apparent clenched buttock muscles to hold the lean firm.
Real intimacy captured here between the leaner and the leanee.
Truly natural leaning action.
That’s one happy bloke! See the joy a simple participatory lean brings. Nay it’s a veritable lean ‘sandwich’.
Leaning with a smile is good but could up the the ‘commitment’ to lean levels. Please see the 9 principles of leaning above.
Great lean. Good angle and lovely composition of the photography, strong shadows. Well done!
“rude for me not to join in with a lean from the Austrian slopes this morning” Disco. We challenge you to do a longer distance lean or a group ski lean before you finish.
Apparently this was a 5 minute unbroken lean. Sometimes you have to take a bit of time out to enjoy a good lean. Especially in a place like this.
Really excellent distance on the lean. More of this please.
This is an excellent, strong lean at a fabulous location. Great work. Credit to Sarah Enright we believe.
Good international representation here we believe, covering Iran, uk, Ireland. Leaning unites !
Great clean leaning action here from Mick. Shows great foresight to join in the leaning movement so soon. With a lean like this Mick gets our vote today for lean of the day.
As I shoot the onion leaning precariously against the wall (whilst preparing lamb koftas) I am struck by the question: do the inner layers lean on the outer ones or are the tough outer ones leaning in on the core?
Anonymous person helping Neil stay in ‘lean’ position.
Dear Leaners United, I need help.
I have become addicted to leaning. I lean on walls, chairs, bannisters, tables, doors (which occasionally fall open resulting in my injuring myself and others), and most recently, people. I have discovered that there are many “out there” who dislike being leaned upon….though a small minority seem to enjoy the experience….generally older men.
Given my addiciton and experiences, I was wondering whether I could lean on you to add two areas to your site for people like me and like them (them that don’t like leaners). “Leaners anonymous, and how to manage/cure your addiction” AND “Dealing with “leaner-hate” – how to cope in a world that wont let you lean.
I’ve trawled the web in a frantic search for solutions, and thus far, this is the best advice I’ve found for dealing with my addiction:
To overcome or manage your leaning addiction, you must follow these steps:
- Admit that one cannot control one’s addiction or compulsion;
- Recognise a higher power that can give strength…..really?
- Exame past errors with the help of a sponsor (experienced member)…………..help, who’ll sponsor me?
- Make amends for these errors…..sorry Joe for leaning on the door that crashed into you and broke your little nose
- Learn to live a new life with a new code of behavior……….I will check my environment and request permission where necessary before leaning on someone/something in future
- Helping others who suffer from the same addictions or compulsions……………….Is there anyone out there?
Good distance achieved. Original leaner keeping good shape !
Really good lean technique demonstrated here. Good distance on lean, feet tidy and together and head down flush with arms. Well done person.
Submitted by Signe Slavensky, Denmark. Anyone know who artist is?
Technically breaks the official leaning principle of keeping your two feet together. But is the first Italian based submission.
Getting competitive. Good to see. Now this person needs to prove her leaning prowess.
Not sure if it really fits with the 9 principles of official leaning (see above) but they are just principles and not rules.
Lise Hand politico journo with Irish Indo leaning in door of Hayes pub in Moneygall, Offaly on campaign trail with Enda Kenny.
